چکیده

Background: ‘Co-production’ is one of the key concepts in evidence-informed policy and practice – terms both its theoretical importance practical applications − being consistently discussed as most effective strategy for mobilising evidence contexts. The concept co-production was developed (almost) independently across multiple disciplines has been employed various fields including environment, sustainability, health. Aims objectives: This paper surveys literature to identify different meanings disciplinary bodies knowledge. Such exploration aimed at identifying points convergence divergence traditions. Methods: We performed a systematic search Web Science via query designed capture likely focusing on co-production, then manually examined each document relevance. Citation network analysis used ‘map’ this by grouping papers into clusters based density citation links between papers. top-cited within cluster were thematically analysed. Findings: research identified five understood science-politics relationship, knowledge democracy, transdisciplinarity, boundary management, an evidence-use intervention. Discussion conclusions: Even though scholarship exploring are closely connected, mobilised phenomena levels abstraction from post-structuralist theories power specific strategies be researchers policymakers.

Collaboration and Co-Production of Knowledge in Healthcare: Opportunities and Challenges

Over time there has been a shift, at least in the rhetoric, from a pipeline conceptualisation of knowledge implementation, to one that recognises the potential of more collaboration, co-productive approaches to knowledge production and use. In this editorial, which is grounded in our research and collective experience, we highlight both the potential and challenge with collaboration and co-prod...

Public participation and the co-production of open scientific knowledge: What is at stake?

Open access is vindicated across diverse areas of scholarly practice, where it is often expected to overcome the material and symbolic barriers that stand in the way of knowledge circulation. However, whether openness is ultimately a good thing or not also seems to depend on which kind of knowledge is being opened and for whom. In this paper I draw on different areas of science, technology and ...

“Seeing” the Difference: The Importance of Visibility and Action as a Mark of “Authenticity” in Co-production; Comment on “Collaboration and Co-production of Knowledge in Healthcare: Opportunities and Challenges”

The Rycroft-Malone paper states that co-production relies on ‘authentic’ collaboration as a context for action. Our commentary supports and extends this assertion. We suggest that ‘authentic’ co-production involves processes where participants can ‘see’ the difference that they have made within the project and beyond. We provide examples including: the use of design in health projects which see...
